Opportunity
CondeNet has always had a lot of short form web-friendly video content from Runway Shows to Cooking Tips to Gadget Reviews so early in web video game they wanted to capitalize on this by positioning themselves to easily publish and subsequently monetize this content.
Since CondeNet's core competency is in creating quality content and not so much custom web development they decided to outsource their entire video delivery infrastructure. Soon after an experienced web video ASP around since 1999, TheFeedroom.com, was selected to handle video player development, content management, ad serving and reporting needs.
I was hired as a full time consultant and developer tasked with getting this project off the ground and leading it for the next two years.
